What Does Redo / Repeat do?

Redo is exactly the opposite of Undo in that it will Undo the Undo command or repeat the last command you performed. Sorry… Confusing I know. To add to the confusion, the Redo command in some Windows Apps cannot be performed unless you’ve just used the Undo command. Of course, the limitations will differ with each application that you try to use it in so just keep that in mind. Many Windows applications no longer have a visible button for the Redo button as shown above however the functionality is still there. Just press Ctrl + Y on the keyboard and it will Redo anything that you’ve performed an Undo on.

After learning of it many years ago I find myself using it everyday without even thinking about it. Now that you know about it, perhaps you will also! Tried it with Outlook 2013 however and it pulls up Find and Replace however. Will probably vary from app to app. Good tip however. Comment Name * Email *
